Bob's Repair - Revolutionary Solution to Contractor-Consumer Services

I can only imagine chunks of trash in the absence of maintenance and repair. Everything seems rusty and disorganized. Old granny is always forced to purchase new stuffs, incurring much cost upon the family. Contractors and repairers are out of the line due to the lack of transparency and high costs involved for their services without any proper breakdown explanations. The stability of a peaceful ecosystem is now thrown into chaos with consumers struggling to call for the services of contractors. Every contractor comes with his own price with no specific order in the marketplace. In the end, the best thing old granny can do is to leave everything to ruin because there isn't any better contractor-consumer service available.

Anyway, my imaginations, which is somehow practical is saved by Bob's Repair and if not anyone, i believe old granny will buy much into the Bob's Repair ideology.

 It did not happen out if the blue. After the establishment of the STWP company, there was still some gaps within the contractor-consumer marketplace.Although STWP brought some significant positive change, the Prandecki brothers saw that there were still much room to operate. In 2017, the Prandecki brothers formed the Bob's Repair upon seeing the Blockchain technology in a way could help bridge that gap created within the marketplace.

The main focus for the formation of Bob's Repair is " to launch a decentralized marketplace built on Blockchain technology that allows consumers and contractors to directly connect, which will defeat review fraud, hidden advertising fees and inflated prices due to lack of pricing transparency".

The Market Problem

 The Prandecki brothers came across three solid problems and based on that spotted the window of opportunity to capitalize the market. The problems were: review fraud, advertising fees and pricing transparency.

Due to the competition within the marketplace, companies formulate fake reviews to uplift their integrity. In the wake of this, companies buy negative reviews for their competitors to downgrade their integrity. Consumers are bow stack in limbo as to how to choose the right company for a particular service needed. The trust for results from avenues like local Google recommendations, Yelp and HomeAdvisor is now lost within consumers.

Contractors pay huge sums of money in order to be able to run their advertisement on platforms intended for that purpose. With this, contractors integrate the advertisement charges into the services they provide leaving consumers with no choice than to pay high fees for skilled trade services.

Every service provided is made up of costs that sum up to the totality of the fees charged for that service. This part of the story is hidden from consumers thereby leading to a lack of transparency. for instance, a consumer is only aware of the charge for a motorbike which goes for $200 without any knowledge about the various fees that make up the $200 - cost of the spoilt motor parts, advertisement cost, cost for labour, etc.

 The grand plan to address the identified problems is to build the Bob Application which will be compatible with iOS, Android and other Web Applications.

The Bob Application will address the review fraud by ensuring that real reviews come with actual transaction. This aspect will be achieved with the help STEEM Blockchain which will keep track of all successful transactions and then match them to their actual reviews after a consumer leaves them. 

With the advertising fees, Bob Application will eliminate all intermediaries who charge advertisement fees. Bob App will then utilize the upvote and flagging posts by consumers on this STEEM Blockchain to grant merits which will in the end increase the visibility of contractors. Contractors which much merits or upvotes will get significant appearance and not necessarily have to advertise.

The Bob App will feature the ability for contractors to break down their service fees into their various components (labour cost, material cost, miscellaneous cost) in order to promote transparency.

Finally, the Bob App will feature an Escrow service which will bind both contractors and consumers into one piece. Thus, to ensure that both parties fulfill their ends of the bargain. In the execution of a service, either parties (contractors or consumers) might fail to accomplish what is required due to several reasons. The Bob App Escrow service come in two parts - the payment website & API and the smart contract for escrow.

The website will mediate the consumer and the contractor and also serve as a medium for storage pf essential documents such as job agreements, reviews etc which can be referred to from the Blockchain.

The smart contract for escrow will arbitrate all transactions between the contractor and the consumer. Transaction hashes of job agreements and reviews will be traceable and unchangeable.

The BOB token, an ERC20 token, will be the major facilitator of the Bob's Repair project. To participate in  the BOB crowdsale, participants must:

• Complete know-your-customer (KYC) form
• Complete Anti-Money Laundering form
• Provide the ETH addresses to receive the BOB token
